Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem has affirmed that the Palestinian people will never stop defending the Aqsa Mosque against what he described as “the massacres being committed against it.”
In press remarks on the 30th anniversary of the first Aqsa massacre Sheikh Sabri said that the Palestinian people would never forget the heinous crime that happened 30 years ago at the Aqsa Mosque.
He asserted that “the Aqsa Mosque are still going through massacres but in different forms” referring to the daily break-ins at the Mosque by Jewish settlers and police forces and the exposure of Jerusalemites to systematic arrests displacement and banishment from their holy site.
He warned that these ongoing massacres are aimed at forcing the Jerusalemite to leave the holy city as a prelude to taking over the Aqsa Mosque.
“Such massacres however will not stop us from defending the Aqsa Mosque with all the strength we have and the Mosque will remain under the Muslims’ sovereignty until the day of resurrection” the Jerusalemite official underlined.
