Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem has called for marching en masse to the Aqsa Mosque next Saturday to mark the Mawlid (birthday) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In press remarks on Thursday Sheikh Sabri stressed the importance of taking advantage of such occasion to stay inside the Mosque preform prayers listen to sermons and lectures and participate in different religious gatherings held to commemorate the Prophet’s Mawlid.
He urged every Muslim to necessarily have a book on the life story of Prophet Muhammad as it includes his sayings actions and attitudes and be keen on following in the Prophet’s footsteps.
He urged the Muslim and Arab nations to intensify and pool their efforts to defend the Aqsa Mosque against the dangers threatening it and protect the holy sites and mortmain property in Palestine and Jerusalem.
