Sheikh Salah: Al-Aqsa is indivisible

Sheikh Ra’ed Salah head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine said that Al-Aqsa Mosque which is the third holiest site in Islam does not accept division.

“The presence of Israelis in Al-Aqsa Mosque is occupation and attempts to change the status quo at the holy Islamic site are null and void” Sheikh Salah said on Tuesday.

Sheikh Salah was speaking during a visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque his second after the end of his 15-year forced banishment from the holy site by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Sheikh Salah was released on the 13th of December 2021 from Israeli jails after Israeli courts charged him with incitement to terrorism and placed him in solitary confinement for 17 months.

In a related context Palestinian leaders and activists have called on the Palestinian people to march en masse to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the repeated assaults on worshippers in the holy site.
