Khaled Zabarqa Sheikh Raed Salah’s lawyer said on Saturday that Sheikh Salah who is the head of the northern branch of the Islamic movement in 1948 Occupied Palestine is isolated in harsh conditions in the Israeli Ramon prison in the Negev desert.
After a visit by Zabarka to the prison he clarified that the Sheikh is following the latest events through Israeli channels only.
He pointed out that the prison administration has been imposing greater restrictions recently on Sheikh Salah in solitary confinement.
Sheikh Salah submitted a request to transfer him to a prison in the north due to the harsh conditions of Ramon prison and the systematic abuse that is being practiced against him.
On February 10 2020 an Israeli court imposed a 28-month imprisonment sentence on Sheikh Salah. The 11 months he spent in detention during the court proceedings would be counted as part of the sentence.
