Hamas Movement participated in a sit-in organized by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners on Thursday in front of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Palestinian factions in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip took part in the solidarity event.
The Hamas leader Kamal al-Najjar stressed in a speech on behalf of the factions the importance to backup Palestinian hunger striking detainees until their demands were met.
He called on all of the factions to expose Israeli violations of international laws against Palestinian prisoners in regional as well as international forums.
For his part member of the PFLP leadership Shafiq Bariem said the prisoners’ hunger strike that started on April 17 is a natural response to Israeli ceaseless violations and offensive practices.
