The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Saturday the repeated Israeli attacks against Muslim worshipers in Jerusalem since the first day of the month of Ramadan.
The Ministry called on the Israeli occupation government to cease all Israeli violations and coercive measures especially those aimed at changing the Arab religious Islamic and Christian identity and the historical and legal status existing in East Jerusalem.
It stated that it follows with deep concern the current developments in the occupied Palestinian territories the continuous attacks by the Israeli police and Jewish settlers against the defenseless Palestinian citizens in East Jerusalem and other areas in the West Bank.
The Ministry also demanded the Israeli government to assume its full responsibility under international and humanitarian law in protecting Palestinian civilians.
“Sudan renews its firm stance towards the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people especially the right of establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the two-state solution and the resolutions of international legitimacy” the statement added.
