Tension is running high in section 3 of the Gilboa jail after jailors of the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) used gas tear to suppress the prisoners according to Asra Media Office.
IPS imposed punitive measures against the Palestinian prisoners in Gilboa jail after 6 prisoners managed to tunnel their way out of the jail. IPS is collectively punishing the prisoners after the jailbreak.
Gilboa jail is the highest-security prison in Israel. It was built in 2004 especially for prisoners serving high sentences who IPS considers the “most dangerous”.
