Israeli prison forces at dawn Tuesday broke into and ransacked cells in Negev jail provoking tension with Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) a state of high tension with the prisoners took place in Negev jail after forces from the Masada unit raided the cells in section 22.
The tension was reportedly running high in all sections of the prison and all jailers were put on high alert.
Israeli jailers usually take punitive measures against prisoners following such raids on sections but there was no information from PPS in this regard.
