Thousands of Palestinians performed Dawn prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque on Friday in response to calls for frequenting both holy mosques in rejection of Israeli occupation’s attempts to Judaize them and to show solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
Since the early hours of dawn thousands of Palestinians including families gathered at the gates of the Ibrahimi Mosque to pray confirming the Palestinians’ spiritual link to the holy site.
The Mosque guard Muhanned Jabari had earlier warned of Israel’s attempts to impose full control on the holy Islamic site and erase its Islamic and historic nature.
Meanwhile thousands of Palestinians performed the Dawn prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem in a show of support for the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
Palestinian activists have earlier called for intensifying presence at Palestinian holy sites in response to the Israeli systematic Judaization policy.
