Thousands of people marched in rallies after Friday congregations in major Pakistani cities terming the Israeli forces attack on Palestinian worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque a “naked terrorism” and demanding the Muslim countries to intervene immediately for protecting the sanctity of the sacred mosque and lives of Palestinians.
These rallies in Islamabad Lahore Karachi Peshawar Quetta and other cities were taken out by Jamaat Islami workers and supporters on the appeal of JI ameer Sirajul Haq who had called to observe “Palestine Solidarity Day” to condemn the brutalizing of Palestinian Muslims by Israeli occupation forces causing injuries to hundreds of men women and children offering pre-dawn prayers. The Israeli forces also arrested hundreds of Palestinians after the attack.
The workers held banners placards and JI flags and gathered outside the IT Center Islamabad in a display of solidarity with the people of Palestine. Led by JI naib ameer and former member National Assembly Mian Muhammad Aslam Director JI Foreign Affairs Asif Luqman Qazi JI Islamabad ameer Nasrullah Randhawa and Secretary General Zubair Safdar the protestors chanted slogans against Israel condemned the US and western regimes for their backing of Zionist occupation of Palestine.
JI Islamabad naib ameer Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry Group Leader Union Council IT Altaf Sher President Al-Khidmat Foundation Hamid Athar and others were also present. Addressing the protesters Mian Muhammad Aslam warned that Israel had committed “naked aggression against peaceful worshippers” and deeply hurt the sentiments of Muslims around the world by committing the bloodbath in Al-Aqsa Mosque the first Qiblah of Muslims before the Holy Kaabah and the third holiest place for Muslims after the two holy shrines.
He paid rich tributes to the young men and women who performed Nafili I’tikaf in Al-Aqsa Mosque in defense of the first Qiblah. He said the world conscience was sleeping on Israel’s open terrorism while those animal rights groups who made hue and cry over cruelty to animals were are also silent on the massacre of Palestinian Muslims.
Asif Luqman Qazi paid tributes to the Muslims of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) who despite the Israeli aggression tear gas and bullets performed the duty of defending Al-Aqsa for which the entire Muslim Ummah should be obliged to them.
Meanwhile JI ameer Sirajul Haq led the demonstration outside party headquarters in Lahore Mansoorah. Addressing the crowd. He expressed serious concerns over the silence of Muslim regimes on Israeli aggression and lamented that the western powers instead of condemning the Israeli act were rather patronizing it. He said Palestinians had been struggling for freedom against the Zionist occupation for nearly 70 years but the whole world had brushed them aside.
He deplored the worst human rights abuses in Occupied Palestine by Israeli forces in broad daylight saying that all Muslim states had been keeping a “criminal silence” on it in the past but now were engaged in a campaign to develop friendly relations with the Zionist state.
He said under a systematic Islamophobia campaign the Muslims population was being victimized because of their faith in different parts of the world with open hate crimes against Muslims have become permanent features in the west. India he said was also victimizing Muslim population in different states and is involved in Kashmiri genocide in the occupied valley. He said Pakistani rulers had taken weak stance on the fascist acts of the Modi government against Kashmiris and Muslims population of India.
