Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya and his accompanying delegation arrived in Qatar on Sunday afternoon on the third leg of his foreign itinerary after he visited Egypt and Turkey.
Haneyya left the Turkish soil after he and other Hamas officials held talks with the Turkish leadership in Ankara and Istanbul before their visit concluded with a meeting with president Recep Erdogan.
During those meetings the Hamas delegation briefed the Turkish leadership on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena especially with regard to the dangers threatening the Aqsa Mosque the blockade on Gaza and the difficult living conditions of Palestinian refugees.
The Hamas leadership also applauded the strong Turkish role in supporting the Palestinian people and their national cause and expressed its thanks to Erdogan for his supportive positions which he had reiterated recently during different events.
