Tunisia has emphasized its commitment to the Arab boycott of Israel.
In recent days activists circulated news reports on social media about trade exchange between Tunis and Tel Aviv a claim dismissed by the Tunisian ministry of trade.
“Tunisia has a commitment to uphold the provisions and principles of the Arab boycott within the framework of the relevant agreements endorsed by the Arab League” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
In 1954 the Cairo-based Arab League endorsed a resolution to boycott the Israeli occupation state following its creation in Palestine.
