Two Palestinian detainees have tested positive for coronavirus at an Israeli jail the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Thursday.
The PPS reported in a press statement quoting the Israel Prison Service that Palestinian detainees Na’im Abu Turki 38 and Mahmoud al-Ghalidh 17 have coronavirus.
The PPS said that Abu Turki was arrested four days while al-Ghalidh was arrested two weeks ago.
Abu Turki and al-Ghalidh as well as a number of prisoners who have been in close contact with them at Ofer Prison are currently placed in isolation.
So far four Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have been infected with coronavirus with one recovery reported for the cancer-stricken detainee Kamal Abu Wa’ar.
