Two Palestinian prisoners continue hunger strike in Israeli jails

Saturday 10-September-2022

Palestinian prisoner Addal Mousa entered on Saturday day 35 of the hunger strike he staged in protest at his administrative detention.

Addal’s brother Ahmad was also on hunger strike in protest at his administrative detention but he decided to suspend it last Thursday after the Israeli jailers agreed not to extend his administrative detention order when it expires on December 6.

The brothers were kidnaped by the Israeli occupation forces on August 7 2022 and soon later an Israeli military court approved the administrative detention of Ahmed for four months and Idhal for three months.

The two brothers are being held administratively in Ofer jail.

Meanwhile prisoner Jawad Jawarish has been on hunger strike for nine days in Ashkelon jail to demand the Israeli prison service to allow him to meet his detained brothers Abdullah and Orabi.

Jawarish has been in detention serving a life sentence since 2002. He is deprived of seeing his detained brothers at the pretext that there is a security reason preventing them from being together.
