The Israeli public prosecution filed on Monday an indictment against two Palestinian merchants accusing them of smuggling equipment into the Gaza Strip to be used for military purposes.
Radio Israel said that the indictment submitted to the Magistrate Court in Beersheba city (south of the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories) accused Noufal Abu Serriyya and Nader Masalma of being involved in smuggling military equipment from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip via Kerem Shalom crossing.
According to the radio the equipment included children’s airplane toys as well as cameras and communication cables.
The Israeli prosecution requested extending the two merchants’ detention until the judicial proceedings are completed.
