Hebrew media sources on Saturday said that a US appeals court has reversed a previous verdict finding an Arab bank liable for supporting Hamas movement financially.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the US court has thrown out a 2014 jury verdict accusing the Jordan-based Arab Bank of financing Hamas attacks during the Second Palestinian Intifada.
According to the Hebrew newspaper American families in 2014 petitioned courts against the Arab Bank claiming that it provides funds to the families of Palestinian martyrs and prisoners who have carried out anti-Israel attacks.
The Arab Bank then immediately started legal proceedings to challenge the US jury verdict linking it to Hamas describing it as “unfair”.
