On Al-Aqsa Flood’s Anniversary: Zionist arrogance falls again to the axis of resistance

Saturday 5-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

“And He will heal the hearts of a believing people.” This might be the most accurate way to describe the feelings of the people of Gaza, Palestine, the Arab and Islamic world, and all those oppressed by the arrogance of the occupying entity (Israel), as they witness the severe blows dealt to it by the various branches of the resistance.

The rain of rockets from Lebanon, drones from Yemen, the bullets of the West Bank fighters in the heart of Tel Aviv, and earlier, the ambushes by the Qassam Brigades and the detonation of minefields against the enemy’s soldiers have struck the heart of Zionist arrogance, bringing it to its knees before the Axis of Resistance.

These events bring joy and restore the initiative in one of the most beautiful manifestations of the unity of battlefronts, as called for by the leader of the Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Deif, when he announced the launch of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, whose first anniversary is approaching.

More than 200 missiles in half an hour
On Tuesday evening (1/10/204), Iran surprised Israel by launching an unprecedented barrage of missiles, targeting several Israeli areas. According to Israeli state radio, Iran fired more than 200 ballistic missiles at Israel within half an hour, prompting the Israeli Home Front Command to call on residents to head to shelters.

For its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had begun targeting key Israeli military sites with dozens of missiles. It added that any military response from Israel would be met with even more devastating and powerful attacks.

Gaza celebrates
The sudden missile attack by Iran on Israel on Tuesday evening immediately resonated in the Gaza Strip, which has been enduring a destructive war waged by the Israeli occupation army for almost a year. Gazans celebrated the Iranian bombardment of Israel. One of the most striking scenes was a young man from Gaza watching the Iranian missiles in the sky, heading toward Israel, exclaiming, “We will repeat October 7!”

The celebrations made it clear that the occupation’s psychological warfare, aimed at breaking the will of the popular base supporting the resistance and causing them to abandon it, has failed. Despite a year of pain, injuries, and enormous sacrifices, the people have responded to all skeptics and detractors by siding with the resistance, believing it will achieve the goals of a nation that has suffered so much injustice and pain.

In the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, children danced with joy, while cheers and celebrations were heard in Khan Yunis in the south of the Strip.

The death of 6 Israelis increases the joy
But that was not all. Six Israelis were killed and 10 others injured on Tuesday evening in a martyrdom operation in Tel Aviv, at the heart of the Zionist entity (Israel). According to Hebrew media, the attackers in the “Jaffa operation” stabbed a soldier, seized his weapon, and carried out the attack using it.

The occupation’s arrogance will not go unpunished
Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said on Tuesday, “This is an exceptional day in the history of the conflict, where the fire of the resistance across the nation intersected in the skies of Palestine, and Tel Aviv was hit by the strikes of fighters from Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iran.”

He added in a statement on Telegram, “This is a call to all the free people of the nation to have a stake in the liberation of Palestine.” He also praised the Iranian response, which covered all of historic Palestine, delivering a powerful blow to the criminal occupation, which thought it could continue its aggression in the region without facing consequences.

Continuing the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle
Palestinian writer and political analyst Ibrahim al-Madhoun said, “The Iranian missiles raining down on Israel today are a direct continuation of the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ operation that began on October 7, 2023.” He added in a post on Tuesday evening that “this storm has not stopped but has expanded to include everyone.”

He continued, “One could say that the Al-Aqsa Flood has transcended geographical boundaries to become a symbol of comprehensive resistance.”

He argued that “Iran has proven to be a powerful and sincere strategic project, with the ability to intervene at the right moment unquestionable.” He added that “the message Iran has sent to Israel is clear: messing with it will not go unpunished.”

He also mentioned that the assassinations of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, who is very close to the Supreme Leader, and Hamas leader Ismail Haneyya in Tehran were significant challenges to Iranian decision-making. Israel is now facing the consequences of those challenges.

Al-Madhoun affirmed that “the Israeli occupation is now in a dark tunnel from which it may never emerge. We are witnessing the beginning of a new and pivotal phase in the history of the conflict—one that will not be forgotten and will shape the future for centuries to come.”

Restoring the initiative
Meanwhile, political analyst Sari Orabi said that what happened on Tuesday evening represents a partial restoration of the initiative and a shift in morale. He emphasized that the enemy has not lost its resolve or its capacity to surprise, as it remains the strongest and most capable of inflicting pain. However, he added, the important thing is that what began on October 7 is still ongoing, and that the enemy’s attempts to escape the current situation pose challenges both to it and its adversaries.

Orabi warned against rushing to spread gloomy predictions or hastily expressing personal frustrations publicly, urging people to maintain a balanced emotional response to events.

Five drones strike from Yemen
In parallel, the Yemeni armed forces announced on Tuesday that they had targeted Israeli occupation sites in Jaffa and Eilat with drones. Yemeni forces stated that the drones successfully hit their targets.

The Qassam Brigades makes its mark
For its part, the Qassam Brigades said in a communiqué on Monday evening (30/9/2024): “Our fighters managed to detonate a pre-prepared minefield targeting a Zionist engineering unit, inflicting casualties, both dead and injured, in the Al-Fukhari area, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.”

In another statement, Hamas’s armed wing added, “During a complex ambush, our fighters successfully destroyed two Zionist troop carriers, targeted a Merkava tank, and two D9 military bulldozers using explosives and Yassin 105 shells, causing casualties among the Zionist crews in the Al-Fukhari area, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Our fighters also observed the landing of helicopters for evacuation.”
