Intimaa participates in Turkish event to mark Nakba

Saturday 6-May-2017

The International Campaign to Preserve the Palestinian Identity Intimaa and the Turkish Association for Solidarity with Palestine FIDDER participated on Saturday in a popular event in commemoration of the 1948 Nakba and in support for the hunger striking Palestinian prisoners. The event was held in the Turkish capital Ankara in the presence of 400 participants.

Dr. Mu’in Naim delivered a lecture on the displacement of the Palestinian people in 1948 at the hands of the Israeli gangs and highlighted their right of return. The lecture was in Turkish language in order to raise the awareness of the Turkish people toward the Palestinian question.

The event included documentary films about the Nakba and art exhibits displaying the Palestinian prisoners’ suffering in Israeli jails in addition to the Palestinian cultural heritage.

The participants showed solidarity with the striking prisoners in their battle of “empty stomachs” by drinking water and salt.
