A Palestinian man who was critically wounded by Israeli army gunfire during the Great March of Return on May 14 along Gaza borders has succumbed to his injuries on Sunday evening.
According to the PIC reporter 29-year-old Wissam Youssef Hijazi died of his injuries late on Saturday.
Before his death Hijazi family tried to take him to Turkey for treatment as he was suffering gunshot injuries in his head. However the Egyptian Airlines prevented his travel.
He was proclaimed dead once he reached the Rafah crossing.
This brings the total number of those killed during the Great March of Return to 178 while more than 18000 others were injured.
