A Palestinian man has died on Tuesday evening after succumbing to wounds he sustained at the March of Return protest near the border of the besieged Gaza Strip medical sources declared.
Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that 47-year-old Samir Nabahin succumbed to his Israeli-inflicted injuries after being directly hit with a teargas bomb in his face almost two weeks ago.
He had been injured in the face during the “Great March of Return” demonstration east of Deir al-Balah city in central Gaza Strip.
Nearly 262 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces ever since the protest rallies began in the Gaza Strip on March 30. Over 27000 Palestinians have also sustained injuries.
The Gaza clashes reached their peak on May 14 on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Nakba Day (Day of Catastrophe) which coincided this year with the US embassy relocation from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem.
