And she continued in her message to human rights organizations: “You have burned my heart over my daughter, I will question you before Allah on the Day of Judgment because of her.”

Wissam Rajab, the mother of the martyr Hind Rajab (6 years old), expressed her deep sorrow mixed with anger towards international human rights organizations after receiving the news of her daughter’s martyrdom on Saturday morning. Hind was besieged in a car with family members for about two weeks.

While inspecting her daughter’s body, Hind’s mother said in an interview with Al Jazeera satellite channel: “Since the first day, I told international human rights organizations that Hind was in danger, go rescue her (…) May Allah hold accountable everyone who hesitated.”

And she continued in her message to human rights organizations: “You have burned my heart over my daughter, I will question you before Allah on the Day of Judgment because of her.”

The grieving mother affirmed that she would raise her daughter’s case, killed by the Israeli occupation army, to international organizations and human rights organizations.

The family of the child Hind announced Saturday morning the discovery of her body and five members of her family, all decomposed, after the Israeli occupation forces besieged and fired at the car carrying them 12 days ago in the Tal al-Hawa area southwest of Gaza City.

The occupation forces deliberately targeted the ambulance that went to rescue the child Hind after obtaining prior coordination to allow it to reach the scene, leading to the martyrdom of the paramedics Yusuf Zeino and Ahmed Al-Madhoun, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

A crime unworthy of her childhood

Hind’s mother had previously recounted to the media that her daughter boarded a car on January 29th, with one of her relatives, Bashar Hamada, and his family, as they were heading to evacuate from the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood to a safer place after the Israeli army intensified its incursions in several areas west of Gaza City.

As the car moved a little, the treacherous bullets of the occupation soldiers began to target them, leading to the martyrdom of Bashar, his wife, and their children. Hind remained with her cousin, Layan (15 years old), and after they sought help, the Red Crescent continued to communicate with them.

An audio recording documented Layan’s trembling and fearful voice as she informed the medical teams that they were under direct fire from the occupation soldiers.

The Red Crescent confirmed that their teams, in communication with the two girls, heard gunfire while on the phone, and they heard Layan’s final screams before she was shot and killed, joining the rest of her family members.

All of this occurred while Hind remained in the car filled with blood and surrounded by the bodies of her relatives, making the situation even more difficult for her as no one stood by her side to calm her fears.

During the phone calls that Hind made with her family, the 6-year-old girl expressed her constant fear and the intense pain she felt after being shot by the occupation army: “They all died… no one is left except me… I’m very scared and in a lot of pain.”

Hind remained in this state for hours before the medical teams were able to contact her and determine her location, near the Fares Gas Station in Tal al-Hawa.

Hind waited for the ambulance that went to rescue her that day, and after a few hours, the medical team was just a few meters away from her, then all contact with them was lost.

Since then, the family has been awaiting the return of their daughter amid demands for international institutions to take action to uncover her fate, and today the tragic end of this child was revealed.
