Longest-serving Palestinian prisoners

Sunday 29-January-2023

18 Palestinian prisoners have been held in Israeli prisons for more than 3 decades 7 of whom have spent more than 35 years in detention.

The seven longest-serving Palestinian prisoners are still held under difficult humanitarian conditions. During their detention the prisoners were subjected to physical and psychological torture by Israeli jailers.

In addition they lost family members and survived the pain of loss in their cells without having a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones. Israel deprived them of the most basic human rights.

They are:

Held since 1985

2- Walid Abu Dagga

3- Muhammed Abu Tus

4- Ibrahim Abu Mukh
