Al-Aqsa Mosque under actual targeting

Tuesday 31-October-2023

A savage Israeli aggression is being directed at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque since the start of the Jewish holidays in September through an unprecedented intensity of incursions leading to comprehensive Judaization in preparation for the construction of the alleged temple.

Israeli police forces continue to impose a strict closure on the occupied city of Jerusalem simultaneously with settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile settlers continue their provocations in the Old City of Jerusalem near the Majlis Gate where they carry vegetable sacrifices and perform Talmudic prayers and rituals. Groups of settlers roam the Wadi road near the Majlis Gate under the protection of occupation forces.

Khadija Khweis the female activist emphasized that the scene of steadfastness should not be absent from Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the Jewish aggression. She called on everyone who can reach Al-Aqsa Mosque to be present there to thwart the plans of the occupation and its settlers.

In his turn the writer and political analyst Rassim Obaidat confirmed that the scenes of chaos carried out by the occupation and its settlers forewarn of what will happen to Al-Aqsa in the coming stage. Obaidat warned that the fate of Al-Aqsa Mosque might end up like that of the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Hamas Movement has affirmed that what is happening in the blessed Al-Aqsa and the Ibrahimi mosques in al-Khalil reflects the occupation’s hatred for all religions human values and civilizations. “It demonstrates its arrogance and insolence in attacking our Palestinian people” Hamas said.

The Movement stressed that the Palestinian people will not allow the occupation to turn Al-Aqsa and the Ibrahimi mosques into military barracks and religious shrines for deviant settlers they will confront all policies and plans of the occupation aimed at Judaizing the mosques and controlling the city of Jerusalem.

Hamas praised the steadfastness of the male and female activists who resound with the voice of takbeer and shake the fragility of the occupation forces and settlers.

The rush of the normalizers
Nawaf Takrouri the head of the Palestinian Scholars Association said that the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque in these days is a reflection of the nature of this entity and reflects its brutality.

Takrouri added in an interview with the Palestinian information Center (PIC) correspondent that the increase in abuse and attacks on the male and female activists in Jerusalem came after the rush of the normalizers to Israel giving it the green light and making it feel their indifference as rulers of this nation to what is happening to the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.

He explained that “we should not continue to just utter words about what is happening and we must act and the words must be accompanied by action.”

He spoke about three duties to respond to the occupation’s crime:
First the people of Palestine are called upon to the best of their ability to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque and stay there and anything less than that is a defeat.

The second duty according to Takkrouri is the mobilization of Palestinians in Europe inviting them to gather at the doors of embassies in capitals and government headquarters that support Israel in order to inform these countries that they have sown crime in Palestine.

The third duty it is to support the Palestinians financially morally and media-wise in all forums and to provide everything possible for the nation and the free people of the world to support the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

A series of Judaization
Sheikh Ali Al-Youssef one of the scholars of Palestine affirmed that the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of a series of Judaization plans. The occupation aims through these plans to exploit Jewish holidays to implement the plan to control Al-Aqsa.

Al-Youssef said in a statement to the PIC that the ultimate goal of the Israelis in Al-Aqsa is destruction and the construction of the alleged temple on the ruins of the Mosque.

He explained that Israeli police occupy the eastern areas of the Mosque during the incursions carried out by settlers and allow them to perform their Talmudic rituals of blowing the horn epic prostration and offering sacrifices. All of this is a prelude to the arrival of the Savior so that they can build the temple.

He stressed that the aggression against Al-Aqsa is being dressed up in a religious cloak by the Israelis and it is unprecedented and must be faced by a united nation.

He called on activists in all countries to support and defend the activists in Al-Aqsa emphasizing the importance of support in all fields to stand with the people of Jerusalem.

Sheikh Ali Al-Youssef said “Al-Aqsa is in great danger and Jerusalem is not for the Palestinians alone although they are at the forefront. The Palestinians defend the Mosque with their blood and it is the duty of the nation to stand by them by all means possible. We must turn the battle into the battle of the nation.”

For his part Ziad Abhays a researcher in Jerusalem affairs warned in a press interview against an aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque that is the most dangerous type unlike anything before. He affirmed that the solution lies in removing the occupation “through a battle in which there are no half-solutions.”

Abhays believes that extremist groups see the current situation as an historic opportunity. What they can impose today may not be possible tomorrow. Therefore they want to solidify every possible fact in the absence of an Arab and international reaction that corresponds to the unprecedented aggression on Al-Aqsa.

He emphasized that what is happening requires the construction of a strategy that considers Al-Aqsa as the core of the conflict because its Judaization is a central goal for all arms of the occupation.

He warned that the situation in Al-Aqsa is dangerous and lays the foundation for distorting its identity and transforming it into a “shared holy site” unless the initiative is taken to engage in a worthy battle.

He pointed out that past experiences show that the response may be delayed as was the case with several Palestinian uprisings in 2015 such as the knife uprising the Bab al-Asbat uprising in 2017 the Bab al-Rahma in 2019 and the Sword of Jerusalem battle in 2021.

“However the response never disappears and what is happening today is accumulating for the upcoming explosion” he concluded.
