Jerusalemite activists have called on all Muslims to make the journey to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, defying the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) to empty Al-Aqsa and prevent worshippers from accessing it during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Ayida Sidaoui, one of the activists, stated that the IOA is launching a fierce security campaign to prevent them from entering Al-Aqsa and guarding it. Sidaoui explained that in recent days, the IOA has intensified its summoning campaign targeting Jerusalemite youth.

She pointed out that all activists have faced beatings, harassment, threats, and even death threats. Despite this, she emphasized the need for everyone to reach Al-Aqsa and prevent the IOA from taking it over.

Sidaoui added that the Israeli plan aims to keep Jerusalem isolated, subjugated, and fearful due to the significant destruction witnessed in Gaza. Therefore, the Palestinian people must confront these crimes with courage and steadfastness.

She affirmed that the IOA exploits Ramadan to alter the city’s Islamic and Christian landmarks, considering it as exclusively Jewish.

Nafeesa Khweis, another activist, stated that it is every Muslim’s duty to overcome all fears and threats imposed by the IOA to control Al-Aqsa. She stressed the necessity of reaching and guarding it, countering the IOA “malicious” plans.

Khweis said, “If it is written for us to seal our lives with martyrdom at the gates of Al-Aqsa, then this is the noblest wish.”

She emphasized that the activists will not abandon their role in protecting Al-Aqsa, urging everyone to make the journey without fear, as the occupier is cowardly.

On her part, Nora Sub Laban said that the IOA deliberately empties Al-Aqsa of worshippers to facilitate its control and impose its Judaization measures. She confirmed that the IOA has launched a campaign of threats and intimidation against Jerusalemite youth to prevent them from accessing Al-Aqsa during Ramadan, as well as restricting West Bank residents through bolstering checkpoints.

She noted that these measures coincide with IOA actions targeting Jerusalemite residents and demolishing more of their homes. Sub Laban considered “Ramadan Flood” an opportunity to affirm that the entire Palestinian people are subjected to this aggression, aiming to deport and displace them from all their areas.

She called on all Muslims to make the journey to Al-Aqsa and break the siege imposed on it.

With the start of the holy month, the IOA has prevented West Bank residents, youth in Jerusalem, and Palestinians in the 1948 occupied territories from accessing Al-Aqsa, praying, and guarding it, either through direct prohibition, erecting barriers, conducting brutal inspection campaigns, or through arrest and deportation campaigns targeting hundreds of young people.
