Angry rallies clashes in W. Bank and J’lem following Nablus massacre

Palestinian citizens staged on Wednesday evening angry rallies and clashed with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem in protest at the Israeli massacre in Nablus City.

According to local sources dozens of citizens including resistance fighters marched in Jenin streets while chanting slogans in solidarity with Nablus and against the Israeli occupation.

Resistance fighters also clashed with Israeli soldiers in Jalbun village east of Jenin following a shooting operation that targeted the illegal settlement of Meirav.

In Ramallah clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF in Nabi Saleh village and near Ofer prison. Several young men suffered injuries during those protests.

Two citizens were also wounded by IOF gunfire during clashes in al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil.

Similar clashes with the IOF also took place in different areas of the West Bank including the towns of Beit Fajjar and al-Khader in southern Bethlehem. Resistance fighters reportedly opened fire at IOF vehicles in Beit Fajjar.

Meanwhile Palestinian youths threw stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli cars traveling on a road near Azzun town in eastern Qalqilya.

In east Jerusalem dozens of local youths clashed with Israeli police forces in al-Ram town and near al-Quds University in Abu Dis town.

In the Gaza Strip a large number of angry young men rallied in a border area in the east of Gaza City to protest the Nablus massacre.

Local media outlets said that Gazan youths torched several tires and hurled stones at Israeli soldiers behind the border fence adding that the soldiers responded by firing tear gas canisters and live ammunition at the young men.

No one was reportedly injured during the clashes on the eastern Gaza border.
