IOF conducts large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank

Tuesday 5-December-2023

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted overnight a large-scale arrest campaign in several cities and refugee camps of the West Bank, including two women and a journalist.

The arrests were reported in the West Bank governorates of Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Al-Khalil, in addition to arrests carried out in Occupied Jerusalem.

The arrest operations were conducted after heavily armed IOF soldiers raided Palestinian towns and refugee camps, storming and wreaking havoc inside their neighborhoods and houses.

House inspections and field investigations with prisoners’ family members inside the stormed houses were reported.

The IOF raids have led to the arrest of about 35 Palestinians in different locations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

About 38 people were detained for hours inside their homes where they were subjected to field investigations before setting them free.

Other people were prevented from performing Al-Fajr prayer in the mosque in Budrus town, west of Ramallah.

Ten workers of the Gaza Strip were also rounded up from their accommodations near Bethlehem.

The infrastructure of Jenin refugee camp was destroyed, and measurements of some of its houses were taken to pave the way for their demolition.

Among the arrested were youths, women and fathers in their fifties and forties, as family members were arrested to push their sons to turn themselves in to the IOF.
