Thousands of Jordanians participated in a massive march that started in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the capital city of Amman after Friday prayer to condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and protest against the genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation forces under the watch of the entire world.

The march was held under the title “From Al-Aqsa to Gaza, Let’s Break the Siege.” The participants emphasized that the Israeli aggression on Gaza would not have continued without the blessings of the United States and its President, Joe Biden, who declared his clear and explicit support for the crimes committed by the Israeli army against the Gaza Strip.

The participants in the march, organized by the Islamic Movement and the National Forum to Support the Resistance and Protect Jordan, called for the opening of the borders with “occupied Palestine” in order to support the resistance fighters and their steadfastness.

They pointed out that the international community is deaf and biased, ignoring the basic rights of the Palestinian people and turning a blind eye to the aggression.

The protesters urged the Jordanian government to take strong measures against the crimes taking place in Gaza. They also demanded an immediate cessation of all forms of relations with Israel, including the Wadi Araba Treaty and the gas and water agreements.

The participants in the march warned against projects aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause, referring to the reduction of support provided to UNRWA by Western countries, which have made baseless accusations against the agency as a prelude to ending its work.

The protesters chanted several slogans, including “With our souls and blood, we redeem Al-Aqsa… With our souls and blood, we redeem Gaza,” “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return,” and “No American bases on Jordanian lands.”

Banners carried during the march had phrases written on them, such as “Toppling Wadi Araba is a sacred duty,” “The flood of Al-Aqsa is our collective battle,” “The Jordanian people are with the resistance,” and “No Zionist embassy on Jordanian land.”

The protesters called for the necessity of taking decisive decisions regarding the heinous crimes committed against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip and appealed to the countries of the world to take firm and strong stances against these crimes that have exceeded all limits.

Jordan has witnessed numerous solidarity events and massive marches over the past period in support of the Palestinian people and in protest against the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza.
