Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assassinated on Monday Brigadier General Fayeq Al-Mabhouh, the head of Palestinian police operations in the Gaza Strip, during its military raid on Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza city.
The government media office (GMO) confirmed that the IOF committed a new crime today by assassinating Al-Mabhouh, who was coordinating with the tribes and UNRWA to bring and secure humanitarian aid into northern Gaza, denouncing this crime and stressing that he was carrying out purely humanitarian civilian work, and he should have been protected under the international law.
The GMO said, this crime comes as a continuation of the Israeli targeting and bombing of many centers providing humanitarian aid to the displaced, and the killing of those responsible for humanitarian aid provision, referring to the killing of dozens of people over the past days in Rafah, Nuseirat refugee camp, Gaza and other governorates.
The GMO held the IOF, the US administration, and the international community fully responsible for these ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, calling on international organizations and all countries of the free world to intervene immediately and urgently in order to stop the genocidal and starvation war against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
