The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested a Gazan young woman who moved to the West Bank for receiving cancer treatment before October 7, in light of the escalating arrests of Gazans residing in the West Bank, especially among women.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) cautioned the Gazans residing in the West Bank to be careful, especially when moving between governorates, given that Gazan detainees are held in special detention camps where they are subjected to severe torture and abuse.
The PPS indicated that the IOF launched large-scale arrest campaigns against residents of the West Bank holding identity cards indicating that they are from Gaza.
The Israeli prison service acknowledged the arrest of 793 people from Gaza, branding them “illegitimate combatants”.
