Israeli forces blew up on Thursday afternoon the house of the Palestinian martyr Fadi Jamjoum in Shuafat refugee camp, north of Occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that IOF bombed the martyr’s apartment, which is located on the eighth floor of a ten-story residential building consisting of 30 apartments, after evacuating all of its residents, leaving his family, wife and four children, without shelter.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli forces stormed the camp in large numbers at six in the morning, encircled the residential building, and booby-trapped the apartment’s walls before blowing it up.

Schools in Shuafat Camp had to suspend their classes today due to the deployment of Israeli soldiers, their assault on citizens, and movement blockage. Israeli soldiers occupied the rooftops of some houses in the vicinity of the martyr’s house and arrested a number of young men.

On February 18, 2024, Israeli soldiers raided the martyr Jamjoum’s family home, and took its measurements in preparation for its demolition, just a few hours after his martyrdom.

During the month of April, the number of demolition operations in Occupied Jerusalem reached nine demolition and bulldozing operations.

In April, Israeli authorities handed over two eviction and demolition notices in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Qalandia refugee camp in Occupied Jerusalem.
