The Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip refuted the Israeli allegations justifying the Nuseirat massacre, in which 40 Palestinians, including 14 children, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the UNRWA Nuseirat Boys’ Preparatory School, which was housing displaced people.
The GMO said in a statement on Friday that the Israeli occupation army published lies and false information to mislead public opinion by sharing the names of the people claimed to have been killed in the massacre, including the names of alive people and others who left Gaza, in addition to the names of martyrs killed in different attacks and different places.
The statement published the Israeli list of the names of the people claimed to be killed in the Nuseirat massacre, including a man who has been living abroad for years and three others who were martyred in other districts before the massacre, as well as a fourth man who died in 2017.
In response to the Israeli occupation army’s claim that no children were killed in the Nuseirat massacre, the GMO unveiled the names of 12 martyr children who were killed in the massacre, including two children whose bodies arrived in pieces and have not yet been identified.
The GMO held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for these heinous crimes against humanity and the international law.
It also called on the international community and organizations to put pressure on Israel to stop its crime of genocide against civilians, children, and women in the Gaza Strip.
