The Israeli occupation army’s siege on Jenin City and its refugee camp entered a sixth day on Monday, leaving Palestinians without access to food, water, power or internet.

Since last Wednesday, the Israeli army has been involved in a large-scale military operation in the West Bank that resulted in the killing and injury of several Palestinian citizens, including civilians, and massive destruction to public and private property.

Meanwhile, the Red Crescent said on Monday that one of its ambulance crews received from the Israeli army a martyr’s body at the military checkpoint of Salem in western Jenin.

Local sources identified the martyr as 50-year-old Ayman Abed, a father of two prisoners, saying he was kidnaped from his home in Jenin at dawn today.

Israeli forces reportedly stormed Deir Abu Da’if village in eastern Jenin and kidnaped two young men and another one from al-Yamun town.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) also kidnaped Yehya az-Zubeidi, the brother of prisoner Zakariya az-Zubeidi, from his home in al-Jaberiyat neighborhood in Jenin City.

Local and media sources reported hearing loud explosions in Jenin’s al-Jaberiyat neighborhood, amid clashes with resistance fighters in different areas of the city and its refugee camp.

Al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas said that a group of its fighters ambushed Israeli infantry troops in al-Damj neighborhood in Jenin camp, killing and injuring a number of them, adding that a helicopter landed in a nearby area to evacuate the soldiers.

Another group of resistance fighters from the al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad injured a number of Israeli soldiers in an ambush in the plaza of Jenin camp.

Last night, a young man was martyred in an Israeli drone attack in the town of Silat al-Harithiya in the Jenin governorate. He was the 17th person killed by Israeli forces since the military operation started in the West Bank.

The IOF also took measurements of a house in Silat al-Harithiya town as a prelude to demolishing it later.

Yesterday, Israeli soldiers shot dead two children under age 18 as they were riding a motorcycle at the entrance of Kafr Dan town in western Jenin during their attempt to distribute bread to besieged citizens on the outskirts of Jenin. The young martyrs are cousins from the family of Hammo.

Media outlets also reported the Israeli army continued on Sunday its destruction campaign in Jenin and its refugee camp, where its bulldozers razed a number of roads, stores and cars in different neighborhoods.

The IOF also continued yesterday to forcibly evacuate families from different neighborhoods of Jenin.

Several local residents were interrogated and others were kidnaped following IOF raids on Jenin homes.
