The Hamas Movement has mourned Hezbollah’s media relations director Mohamed Afif, who was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, describing his assassination as an “appalling crime.”
In a statement on Sunday, Hams stressed that such an Israeli crime “will not silence the voice of resistance, but rather it will expose the depth of the occupation’s moral abyss.”
“This criminal policy that is pursued by the terrorist occupation will not deter the free resistance forces from their goal of breaking the will of this fascist occupation and removing it from our land and holy sites,” Hamas stated.
Hamas said that martyr Afif was a “strong and defiant voice of resistance that disturbed the occupation and its abortive system and exposed its crimes.”
The Movement offered its sincere condolences to the Hezbollah leader, the family of martyr Afif and the Lebanese people, affirming that the martyrs’ “pure blood will not go in vain.”
