A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by head of its political bureau Ismail Haneyya held an important meeting on Sunday with leaders and secretaries-general of Palestinian factions in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
According to a press release issued by Haneyya’s office the Hamas leadership discussed during the meeting several major issues related to the Palestinian cause and the mechanisms to address the dangers and challenges facing it.
One of the top issues the participants discussed during the meeting was the ongoing Israeli violations taking place in Occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque Haneyya’s office said.
The participants highlighted the need for intensifying the national efforts to thwart Israeli plots against the holy city strengthen the Jerusalemite people protect the holy sites and rally more official and popular support for the Palestinian cause at the regional and international levels.
They also explored avenues of achieving the national unity and rearranging the Palestinian house and discussed the current challenges facing the Palestinian people at different levels especially those pertaining to the Palestinian refugees and UNRWA.
