Israel systematically targets Palestinian journalists to silence the truth.
Since 2000 about 45 Palestinian journalists have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces including Shireen Abu Akleh and Ghufran Warasneh who were shot dead in the West Bank in 2022.
Coinciding with the International Solidarity Day with Palestinian Journalists marked on 26 September Israel holds 21 Palestinian journalists including two women in its prisons.
