The Palestinians in Europe Conference has announced that a series of events and activities will be launched during the current month to ccommemorate the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe) and the Balfour Declaration centennial in different cities of the European continent.
In a statement the administration of the conference said there would intensive events and activities from 11 to 15 May to be held in partnership with the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad.
In a related context the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad announced its participation in the International Campaign to Maintain the Palestinian Identity.
The Palestinians Abroad Conference on Sunday concluded its 16th consecutive annual gathering in Milan which was held under the theme “70 years on … and we shall return.”
The conference was attended by academics journalists filmmakers actors prominent Christian and Muslim leaders and legislators from various countries including Italy Tunisia Jordan and elsewhere.
Speakers at the conference highlighted very important issues on the Palestinian cause including Jerusalem prisoners refugees and the siege imposed on Gaza.
