Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine Ramadan Abdullah Shallah met Tuesday the Iranian foreign minister Mohamed Javad Zarif in Beirut.
In a statement issued Tuesday the group affirmed that its Secretary General discussed during the meeting his initiative to unite Palestinians.
Shallah also briefed the Iranian foreign minister about the Israeli ceaseless crimes and settlement construction.
For his part Iran’s foreign minister expressed his country’s total support for any effort made to unite the Palestinian people.
Last month Ramadan Shallah tabled ten proposals as a way out from the current impasse witnessed in the Palestinian national scene.
