Hamas chief in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar has said that his Movement and the Palestinian people reject the holding of the intended economic conference in Bahrain calling on the Arab and Islamic worlds to stage protests and strikes on June 25 and 26.
“On behalf of [Gaza] clans dignitaries and elders we declare our outright rejection of the deal of the century and all conspiracies and forms of normalization with the occupation and we declare a state of national alert to confront it” Sinwar said.
The Hamas chief made his remarks during a Ramadan Iftar organized by the Movement in honor of noted figures in Gaza on Monday.
“The deal of the century will be doomed to failure in one way or another and we ask the peoples of our nation from all spectra to close ranks in the face of the deal” Sinwar stated.
