A small batch of Gazan families was allowed access out of the besieged Gaza Strip on Monday to visit their relatives held in an Israeli prison.
Spokeswoman for the International Red Cross Committee Suheer Zaqout said 18 Palestinians from the blockaded Gaza Strip among them eight children headed to Nafha jail via Beit Hanun border-crossing to visit nine Palestinian detainees.
Over 7000 Palestinian prisoners are locked up in Israeli penitentiaries where they have been denied their basic human rights most notably the right to family visits.
