Palestine Museum in Istanbul: Grand panorama of Palestinian history

Wednesday 2-August-2023

The Palestine Museum in Istanbul constitutes a historical panorama covering the history of Palestine from the ancient times of the Islamic conquest until the 2021 Sword of Jerusalem battle in Gaza.

The museum which contains exhibits symbolizing rural Bedouin and civil life in Palestine also has sections dedicated to Palestinian writers intellectuals and prisoners.

Director of the Turkish Association for Solidarity with Palestine Ibrahim al-Ali said that opening the museum aims at introducing the history and culture of Palestine to the Arab and Muslim communities in addition to the Turkish people and tourists.

The Palestinian researcher al-Ali extended thanks to the Palestinian activists in T&uumlrkiye who worked hard until the opening of the museum despite the difficulties they faced such as the scarcity of Palestinian historical holdings in T&uumlrkiye.

On the 20th of July the Turkish Association for Solidarity with Palestine opened the museum in Istanbul with the aim of introducing the history and culture of Palestine in a way that supports the Palestinian narrative as part of the Palestinian struggle.
