Factions ask Hamdallah to cooperate with Gaza security services

Friday 23-March-2018

Palestinian national and Islamic factions on Thursday asked the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah to come to the Gaza Strip to follow up the ongoing investigations into the attack that targeted his convoy during his latest visit to the enclave.

During a press conference following a meeting with the head of Hamas’s Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya and Hamas’s chief in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar the Islamic Jihad leader Khalid al-Batsh expressed his support of the efforts Gaza’s Ministry of Interior is making.

Hamas held a meeting with leaders from the Popular and Democratic Fronts for the Liberation of Palestine and the Islamic Jihad Movement during which it provided detailed information about the attack and the efforts exerted by the security services over the past 10 days.

Al-Batsh stressed that the Palestinian people are no longer able to endure more political disagreements calling for achieving national unity in order to confront all Israeli challenges aimed at weakening Gaza’s internal front.
