Palestinian heritage exhibition in Kuwait

Thursday 3-March-2022

The Palestinian Heritage Center (PHC) is scheduled to hold in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy in Kuwait the 55th exhibition of Palestinian heritage under the slogan “Preserving Heritage through Generations.”

The exhibition is planned to be held from 15-18 March at Al-Sadu House in Kuwait.

Spokeswoman for the center Faten Abu Ghazaleh said that the exhibition aims to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and to preserve their heritage in light of the Israeli attempts to wipe out the Palestinian national memory and identity by all possible means.

The exhibition seeks to brief the new generation about their Palestinian heritage so that it remains stuck in their memory no matter how long it takes she added.

Abu-Ghazaleh underlined that the exhibition “will include handicrafts embroideries dresses and paintings made by Palestinian women in refugee camps in addition to Palestinian traditional handicrafts and woodwork.

“The event will also include the most famous Palestinian traditional food in addition to the latest books about the Palestinian cause”

The PHC was established in 1993 in Jordan. The Center tirelessly works to promote revive and preserve Palestinian cultural heritage especially the arts of embroidery and traditional dressmaking.

The PHC’s main goal is to educate the public about the meaning and significance of Palestinian cultural heritage and the need to protect this heritage from loss or misappropriation.

It provides lectures workshops shows exhibitions and resources to visitors as well as participating in international events showcasing to the world what it offers those who come to the Center itself.
